Family and friends pilot

A lifetime of accounts, policies and property, recorded once, and kept safe until your family needs it.

My Asset Safe is open to a small group of pilot families while we build it properly with them. If we have added your email address to our pilot list, you can set up your vault now.

During the pilot, sign-up is open only to people on our pilot list. If we have added you, sign up with that same email address. Not on the list yet? Join the waitlist.

How It Works

Four simple steps to secure your legacy

Getting started takes minutes. Keeping your records up to date is even easier.

Financial documents and records organised neatly
01
Step 01

Record everything in one place

Bank accounts, pensions, ISAs, investments, property, mortgages, life assurance. Add every financial asset and liability to your secure vault. No more scattered spreadsheets or forgotten policies.

Supports a wide range of asset and liability categories with guided entry forms.

Digital security and encryption concept
02
Step 02

Locked and encrypted for you

Your records are encrypted, so our staff cannot read them through the application. Your key is unlocked each time you sign in, on any device.

Bank-grade encryption with keys generated for you.

People sitting together discussing a plan
03
Step 03

Nominate who gets access

Choose the people you trust, family, a solicitor, anyone you like, and give them Nominated Access. Nothing is shared unless you choose to share it: a nominee can let us know when the time comes, or you can give them a read-only view of your vault sooner if you wish. You can add or change nominees at any time.

Add up to five nominees, each verified with an identity document when they register.

Family members supporting each other
04
Step 04

Unlocked when it matters

Only the people you nominate can ask us to unlock your vault. We do not ask for a death certificate: everyone you have registered and verified is asked to confirm it, and you are given a response window of your own to say if it is a mistake. Once that window passes, your confirmed primary nominees access everything they need, without the weeks of searching. If none of them can act, a secondary nominee you ticked for Backup access can see it instead. If you would rather a trusted nominee could see your vault sooner, for example in case you become ill, you can choose to give them read-only access now and switch it off at any time.

Nominee-only access: every registered, verified nominee confirms, you get a response window, then read-only access is released to your primary nominees (or your Backup nominees if no primary can act).

Security

We can't read your vault through the app. By design.

Every vault record you add, your assets, recurring subscriptions, wishes, will and documents, is encrypted before it ever reaches our servers, and our team cannot read it through the application. Your key is kept safely on our servers, not on your device, and is unlocked for you each time you sign in, on any device. It is never sent to us in a form we can read in normal operation.

Our Servers

Your records stored encrypted

Encrypted

Your vault records are encrypted before they ever touch our servers, so our team cannot read them through the application.

Private by design

Our staff cannot read your vault contents through the application. A strictly limited, audited recovery path exists only for routine key release and a nominee-confirmed unlock after you have passed away, restricted to two named roles.

UK hosted only

Your vault data is held in UK data centres in London, and our approach is aligned with UK GDPR and UK data protection regulations.

Multi-factor authentication

Available on every account. With it switched on, even if someone obtains your password, they cannot access your vault without a second factor.

Controlled unlock

Only nominees you set up in advance are ever asked. The vault is unlocked only after every nominee you named has confirmed you have passed away and you have had a response window to object: never without a check.

Secure key protection

Your keys are protected under strict security policies. Decryption is restricted to two named, audited roles, used only for routine key release after you sign in and for a nominee-confirmed unlock after you have passed away. Your key is kept safely on our servers, not on your device, and is never released to us in a form we can read in normal operation.

Why we built it

Built so your family never has to search

Too many families spend months tracking down accounts, pensions and policies after a death. My Asset Safe exists to replace that search with a single, secure record. These are the principles we hold to.

Records, not guesswork

One private place for every account, policy and property, so the people you nominate know what exists and where to find it.

Encrypted

Each vault record is encrypted before it reaches us, so our staff cannot read it through the application.

Built and hosted in the UK

Your vault data is held in UK data centres in London, and we design our processes around UK data protection law from the start.

What the pilot is

Early, and honest about it.

My Asset Safe is being built with a small group of families rather than launched at everyone. That comes with a trade: you get it early and your say counts for a great deal, and in return you are using something that is still growing.

A small group, on purpose

We would rather a handful of families used this properly than a crowd used it once. Everyone on the pilot list is added deliberately, and they shape what gets built next.

Built with you, not at you

Tell us what is confusing, missing or wrong and it goes onto the list in front of us. Several of the things on this site exist because someone in the pilot said they were needed.

Your records are real records

This is not a sandbox. What you enter is encrypted and kept, so the vault you build now is the vault your family would rely on.

Nothing is shared without you

You decide who is nominated, what they can see, and whether they see anything before it is needed. Nobody is given access because they asked.

Getting in

Who can use it today.

Someone has passed away

If they nominated you, sign in and open Nominated Access to tell us. We no longer ask for a death certificate: everyone they registered and verified confirms it together, and nothing is released until they have.

Already have an account because they nominated you? Sign in instead.

You are on our pilot list

Sign up with the email address we added. There is no invitation email or link to wait for. If you use a different address it will be turned away, which looks like a fault but is not: use the address on our list and it will work.

You found us on your own

Then you are early, and we are glad you are here. During the pilot, sign-up is open only to people on our pilot list, and we are deliberately keeping it to a small group of families until it has earned a wider one. Join the waitlist and we will read it.

We use these details only to consider adding you to the pilot list and to contact you about it. We delete them automatically 365 days after you last ask to join, and you can ask us to delete them sooner. See our Privacy Policy.

Prefer to write to us? Email hello@myassetsafe.com and tell us why you want it. We read every one.

Being nominated by someone else is different: if a family member has named you in their vault, you do not need to be on our pilot list. Follow the link in the email they sent you, and read the guides if you want to know what being nominated involves first.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about securing your financial legacy.

Not your vault records. Your assets, recurring subscriptions, wishes, will and documents are encrypted, and our staff cannot read them through the application. A few details are kept in readable form so the service can work: your name and email, the names and email addresses of your nominees, the People of Interest you add, and anything you write to our support team. A restricted, audited recovery path exists so your vault can be released to your nominees.

We do not ask for a death certificate. When one of your nominees tells us you have passed away, everyone you have nominated who has registered and verified their identity is asked to confirm it, signed in with their own account. Once they have all confirmed, you are given a response window to say it is a mistake before anything is released. If we do not hear from you, your confirmed primary nominees are given read-only, time-limited access. If none of your primary nominees can act, access goes to any secondary nominee you ticked for Backup access. If there is neither, nobody is given access.

Only people you have nominated in advance can ask for access. Each of them takes a live selfie when they register, which only you see and which is deleted once you have checked it. You can also choose to give a nominee a read-only view of your vault while you are alive, once you have confirmed their identity, and you can switch that off again at any time. Nothing is shared unless you turn it on. Otherwise, to unlock your vault, every nominee you have registered and verified must individually confirm that you have passed away, and you are then given a window to say if it is a mistake before anything is released. If you sign in or block the request during that window, it is cancelled automatically and no access is granted. Access then goes only to your confirmed primary nominees and is read-only, expiring after 12 months. Secondary nominees still have to confirm. They receive access only if you ticked Backup access for them and none of your primary nominees can act.

A nominee can only open your vault through the confirmation process after you have passed away. If you are worried about illness, such as a stroke or dementia, you can choose now to give a trusted nominee read-only access to your vault while you are alive, once you have confirmed their identity. It stays on until you switch it off, and you can switch it off at any time. If your subscription lapses, sharing is paused until you renew. If you lose capacity, the people who look after your affairs will usually need a Lasting Power of Attorney, which is separate from My Asset Safe. This is general information, not legal advice.

My Asset Safe supports a wide range of categories, from bank accounts, pensions, ISAs, investments, property and cash to cryptocurrency, trusts, precious metals, business shareholdings and foreign assets, along with liabilities such as mortgages, loans and credit cards.

Yes. A will dictates how your assets should be distributed. My Asset Safe tells your loved ones what assets exist and where to find them. Many families spend weeks or months tracking down accounts after a death. We eliminate that search entirely.

We use the same encryption standard trusted by banks and governments. A unique key is generated for you, and each record is encrypted individually. Your key is not stored on your phone, tablet or computer. We keep it safely locked on our servers, and it is never available to us in a form we can read in normal operation.

No. There is no separate vault password to remember. Your records are encrypted with a key that is unlocked automatically after you sign in with your email, password and two-step code. Your key is not stored on your phone, tablet or computer: we keep it safely locked on our servers, and it is released to you each time you sign in. Keep your sign-in password safe. Your authenticator only gives you your sign-in code, and if you lose it you can use "Lost your authenticator?" on the sign-in page.

Yes. Your key is not stored on your phone, tablet or computer. We keep it safely locked on our servers, and it is released to you each time you sign in. You can sign in from any device with your email, password and two-step code. If you lose or replace a device, your vault is not lost. Your two-step code comes from your authenticator app or a text message, and "remember this device" only skips the code on that browser for 30 days.

You may end your subscription whenever you wish, with no penalty. Your data remains encrypted and accessible for 90 days after cancellation, giving you time to export a copy or resubscribe.

Yes. Your vault data is held in UK data centres in London. Our approach is aligned with UK GDPR and UK data protection regulations.

Yes. My Asset Safe is looked after by a dedicated team in the United Kingdom. You can raise a support ticket from within your account at any time, and a real member of our team will help you, never an automated system. Bereaved families are given priority.

During the pilot, sign-up is open only to people on our pilot list, so please join the waitlist above if you would like to be added. We are also building an early partner programme so that, in time, UK banks and wealth managers can offer it as part of their estate planning services.
